ClaimCompass, LLC ("ClaimCompass," "we," "us," or "our") operates myclaimcompass.ai and provides an AI-powered document preparation platform that helps individuals analyze insurance denials and prepare appeal letters (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service, you agree to these practices.
ClaimCompass is a direct-to-consumer tool used by individuals on their own behalf. We are not a healthcare provider, health insurer, or a vendor acting on behalf of one. HIPAA does not govern this Service. We are subject to the Federal Trade Commission Act, the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule, and applicable state consumer privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
What We Collect
Documents You Upload
When you upload a denial letter or insurance document, it is transmitted securely over HTTPS to our AWS Lambda analysis service, processed entirely in memory to generate your appeal score and analysis, and then discarded. We do not store your uploaded documents.
Information You Provide at Checkout
When you purchase your appeal letters ($39), Stripe collects your payment information directly. We receive only your email address (to deliver your letters) and a payment confirmation. We do not store your credit card number or full payment card data.
Usage and Technical Information
We automatically collect standard web analytics data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit. This is used solely to operate and improve the Service.

How We Use Your Information
- To analyze your denial and generate appeal letters — your document is processed in memory and results are returned to your browser.
- To deliver your letters — your email address is used to send your completed appeal packet after purchase.
- To process payment — handled entirely by Stripe.
- To improve the Service — aggregate, non-identifiable usage data only.
We do not use your documents or appeal content to train AI models for any purpose outside of providing the Service to you.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share only what is necessary to operate the Service:

We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
Uploaded documents: Processed in memory and discarded immediately. Not stored on any server or database.
Email address: Retained only long enough to deliver your letters and respond to support requests. You may request deletion at any time.
Payment records: Retained by Stripe per their policies. We retain a transaction record (no card data) for legal and tax purposes.
To request deletion of any information we hold, email steve@myclaimcompass.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
Data Security
All data transmitted to and from ClaimCompass is encrypted in transit using TLS. Document analysis occurs in isolated AWS Lambda execution environments. No document content is written to disk or persistent storage. While no system is completely secure, our architecture is designed to minimize data exposure at every step.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
Right to Know — You may request what personal information we hold, its source, and how we use it.
Right to Delete — You may request deletion of your personal information.
Right to Correct — You may request correction of inaccurate information.
Right to Opt Out of Sale — We do not sell your personal information.
Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Shine the Light: ClaimCompass does not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Children's Privacy
ClaimCompass is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Contact us immediately at steve@myclaimcompass.ai if you believe we have done so.
Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
